About me: family-anchored, focused on building autonomous systems.

I'm a proud dad to my toddler daughter and husband to an amazing partner. Our family calls San Diego home, as we love the balance of city life and easy access to nature. When not with my family, I'm usually chasing snow or surf, hunting for great coffee, or planning the next meal -- food is my favourite way to explore a place.

Before settling down in San Diego, I grew up overseas, spending a little over 15 years in Singapore, England, and Hong Kong. These experiences instilled in me a deep appreciation for diverse cultures and perspectives, and the adaptability needed to thrive in new environments. It also gave me a passion for aviation, given how much time I spent on planes as a kid.

Today, I'm an engineering leader in autonomy and software, with a focus on building resilient, autonomous systems that deploy in high-stakes environments. Equally as important as building a resilient system is building a resilient, healthy, and high-performing team. With grit and some luck, I've gone from 0 → 1 and from 1 → N with multiple teams and products.

My core expertise

  • Autonomous systems and robotics platforms
  • Scaling teams and organisations
  • Cross-functional leadership and product alignment
  • Building the feedback loops that keep teams shipping

What I'm building today

  • Operationalising foundation models
  • Polyglot tools for development, test, and deployment
  • Human-centered interfaces for complex systems
  • Resilience engineering for autonomous missions
